Used to remove firestain after soldering

Less corrosive than pure sulphuric acid.

Used with different metals such as silver, copper, gold

Removes the black copper oxide that forms when doing soldering

Comes in powder in form needs to be mixed with water to make solution.

Used by jewellers and silversmiths in their workshop

The solution will be colourless but will become blue as you keep using it due to the copper in the solution.

The solution can be used many times before needing replacement

Do not put anything containg iron in the pickle such as tweezer or binding wire otherwise your silver will go pink.

Even though this a safety pickle care needs to be taken with gloves, safety googles and good ventillaton.
