Mounted on a 3/32 shank and used in conjunction with the pendant motor, micromotor and hobbydrill. The parallel Split Mandrel is used with Emery Paper, Wet & Dry etc. The end of a strip of appropriate grade paper is thread- ed into the slit. The remainder of the strip is wound around the mandrel. NB.When winding, note should be taken in which direction the mandrel will turn. If wound incorrectly the paper will unravel as the mandrel turns. If wound correctly the motion of turn against the object will keep the paper tight on the mandrel. Once the ‘outside’ turn of paper is worn, this can be removed to reveal ‘fresh’ paper.
